Purchased in Sept 06

(swopped for a fiesta

&

£900) my affair with the MR2 began.

She started off looking like this, a very clean bog standard car with 86k on the clock.

Immediately the modding started, which I confess was one of the reasons I wanted to get a

'2, I had seen lots of nice jap cars

& fancied owning one.

Having previously been a Ford fan in my youth

(XR2, XR4i), I wanted to try something different.

Clear indicators

& side markers fitted;

I then proceeded to strip out the interior as blue did not fit in with my overall plans.

Everything blue came out

& was replaced with black.

Its amazing how much stuff is actually needed to do a full interior conversion!

Then came the Rev3 rear lights

& panel, sourced from Ebay Japan.

These are slightly different in that the edges have been colour coded;

Then the sidestrips

& sills were colour coded;

Then the Lexus IS200 rims were obtained and rubberized with Falken shoes;

I then set about the interior with a vengeance, spraying it initially metallic grey, then silver.

.

.it looked crap, so after a month or 3, I returned it to black, either by painting or sourcing new bits.

.this is still ongoing!

Back to the bodywork now! Got some original Bomex skirts from Jason of Bok Motorsport

(now a good friend and not just the bloke that repairs MR2's).

Took a bit to prep, repair

& paint, and admittedly it's not a professional job, but they do their job;

Before;

Fitted;

(bit of a wash

& polish)

Back to the interior now, new dials from ebay, I think I kickstarted the group buy with these!

Half leather seats, courtesy of MisterT from IMOC

(now a friend not just a MR2 owner!)

To assist in power delivery, an induction kit

& Mongoose exhaust were fitted.

Sadly, no pics of the exhaust.

Twas a good buy from Gaz! though

At DSA in Aylesbury on the MR2Only RR day

At Cardiff Airport

(car is my daily drive

& I do all over the country with it)

Suspension was then played with.

Lowered all round by 40mm on TRD shocks

& springs;

Wheel time.

.a refurb of the IS200's.

.black with polished lip.

.done 2, 2 left to go.

.

Now a bit of a jump to this evening! I bought an Autopista spoiler of Nichols00 from the OC, prepped it up

(ran out of paint!), bought Phoenix Power spats

& a copy Bomex lip from Neos.

All have been prepped and await final spraying

& fitting.

Spats are partially fitted, just need to be poly sealed on.

Have some vinyls to be fitted too, courtesy of Jeff.

Front refurbed wheels are fitted,

& have been spaced out by 5mm.

The rear wheels have been spaced out 30mm and now sit perfectly in the arch.

The ar$e end of the car now looks very fat

When the bodywork is finished, ill start getting the ICE installed;

I do have 2 sub boxes, but they are in the loft.

Heres the car now, with some bits literally laid on

More to come.

.i'm officially a modding addict!!
