[Mk2] [Turbo] HELP PLEASE !!

Hi i have a rev turbo that a few mr2 owning friends have taken a look at but nobody knows what is wrong,the car idles fine and drives ok but when i come on to boost the car holds back my avcr is registering boost as normal but after 2 thou revs it just doesnt go how it used to,ive changed the plugs dizzy rotor arm had all inter cooler pipe work off and it was all ok ive also had the car compression tested ok as well,the turbo does have play in the shaft,the car struggles to 70 mph any help please

how much play in the shaft?

It does have movement when compered to a new turbo but if the the turbo was gone it wouldnt be making boost as it should on the avcr read out or would it ??

Checked timing?

And do a diagnostics.

hi just to thanks to every one who posted problem was knock sensor strange cause it never gave up any faults on diagnostic john (dude 541) & tim (t.b dev) sorted it out for me today just got to get a brand new sensor ordered tomorrow :D
