I was de-badging the boot, getting rid of the two stuck on badges by firstly warming them up with a hair dryer as mentioned in a few posts I read when searching for instructions on how to de-badge. The toyota one came off fine. I warmed up the 2.0GT-i badge on the offside only to hear a strange noise coming from the boot. The ariel motor was making the noise, it sounded like it was trying to raise the ariel mast. I took out fuse 17 in the drivers footwell fusebox, which is meant to be the fuse for the stereo, cig lighter and ariel but still the noise from the ariel motor. I switched from tuner to cd player on my head unit but still the noise. Even with the keys out of the ignition, the stereo off and the alarm on the noise still goes on. Out of deperation I've disconnected the battery as this is the only way I could stop the noise. What have I done and how can I fix it?
