Sounds like the throttle butterfly is going back a bugs dick too far. Theres a stop screw for the throttle lever.Just adjust that slightly so it stop the butterfly going all the way back and sticking.

I had a similar problem, except mine was sticking down. Had a couple of scary moments. Turned out to be the car mat - had inched forward and was occasionally trapping it while 'down'. Is yours getting in the way while it's 'up'?

You said yours was sticking up. In which case the throttle butterfly is going back too far and jamming shut. As i said there is a stop screw to stop the butterfly jamming shut

i'll try the butterfly but i cant seem 2 think that it will effect the peddle when it sticks the mat is no were near and if i give it a tap or press down hard on the peddle it works fine

The pedal sticks up because the butterly is connected to the pedal via the cable ](*,) The butterfly is jammed stuck so the pedal also wont move.

Ok then.Disconnect the cable from the throttle lever on the throttle body.If the pedal feels ok then it has to be the butterfly sticking.

I had the same problem back in Jan. Before you play with any adjusting screws, take of the air intake pipe from the throttle body. Slide your fingers in to where the throttle buterfly seats and see if its bunged up. I found it was sitting into a lip of crud. I sprayed a load of intake cleaner into it, and used an old toothbrush to clean it out. The crud builds up because the vapour control system feeds oil vapour into the intake system to be burnt in the engine, rather than release it to atmosphere.

I have rev2 turbo and did my first track day with that car. After some laps my throttle would start sticking up also. Few taps to the throttle pedal and it was free again. This has never happended on street but it did happen every time after few laps when I went out to the track, propably something to do with temperature.

Is there an adjustment screw in the turbo engine as well?
