Trouble is though the leather on MK1s is crap. You'll do well to find any leather MK1 seats that are in good nick. IIRC around £350-500 to get them retrimmed depending on who you use. Added advantage of doing this is you can choose exactly what they use.

If thats the case, are there any companies that can sell GOOD fitting seat covers, just to tidy the seats up a bit untill i can find and afford replacements which might be some time as I have 2 mr2 projects on the go at the mo, the Mr2 seats are an unusual shape so I think standard regular covers as sold in Halfords and the like would look a bit baggy and a poor fit, correct me if im wrong, Thanks for all your help

Yes he has changed the name, as he has bought the company.

Try Rogue Systems, Around £500 for a set but you have a great selection of colours and the quality is excellent.

We don't do them at the moment, but that's simply because we don't have a spare set of mk1 seats that we can use to get patterns made. If anyone's got some old mk1 seats kicking around that they don't need any more then I can certainly look into getting this done.

Did the design of mk1 seats vary at all between revisions?

The seats are the same, though the earlier ones had a different pattern/texture of material. Here's some pics:

Early seat:

For recovering purposes i don't suppose it will matter.

Yes the mk1's seats did change, early 1's(1a's)85-87 and late 1's(1b's)87-89.Also early1's didn't come in leather. Leather was an option for late 1's.
