Mr2 Rev 3 T Bar Turbo (stage 2 conv + more) lots of history - 3800!

Post by **toyota-mr2** »

Hi all.

Forsale is my rev 3 turbo t bar. The reason for selling is because I am spending over half my wage on keeping the thing on the road (insurance 1700) petrol - alot because I do atleast 70 miles a day! I also want to get a flat :D.

Anyway spec goes:

1994 rev 3 mr2 turbo in goodwood green.

T bar - with bags and blinds.
Climate control.
Air con.
p/steering.

etc.

138,000 kms on the clock (still in km)

Has still got 110 mph clocks (but they read mph)

Tax - around 3 months

Mot - end of Oct

Has a fairly new hybrid turbo (stage 2) on it - running standard boost atm.
New clutch.
New brake pads.
Lots of oil changes.
Proper services.

I think its fair to say it has full service history which is gd going for a turbo.

Added extras:

Team dynamics pro race 1's in black with brand new toyo tyres (400 miles)
Blitz nur spec exhaust.
Gutted cat.
Grainer valve.
boost guage.
Momo gear knob with surround.
Richbook tax disk holder.
Carbon dash.

+ more I am sure I have missed.

I cant fault anything on the car its all how it should be.

Power I am guessing between 270 - 280 bhp.

Advertised on piston heads for 4600 which for this time of year + mods is a reasonable price.

Imoc price - 4400.

Thanks.

This was my mate adamshaw's car. I'm surprised to see it up for sale again so soon, and that's an interesting price :-k

I really dont want to sell it but the list of things below make me want to sell it:

1: Increased debt which I want to pay off.
2: Fuel is costing far to much.
3: Getting a flat.
4: Only really need a car for work.
5: Why pay 1700 on insurance?

I dont mind if anyone wants to hpi check the car or anything.

Already had an hpi check a couple years back.

As for price I feel it is fair but I am open to offers :D

i can only think you must of
either paid over the odds for it...or you spend more than 1k on the car since bought or your trying to make a quick buck.....

i am sure the previous posts for this car was only 4k.

New battery - 75 quid
New brake pads front and back - 60 quid

Thats my problem with cars. I like to get them looking how I want in such a short time. I have maxed out my credit card and I am now really starting to regret it.

I really dont want to sell but I hate debt and if I sell the car it will clear most of it, atleast them I can get back on my feet and save for something abit more within limits.

I thought it might be abit to much for a 19 year old to take on :(

The car is in tip top condition and the buyer has my word that I have not hidden any faults. It starts on the key everytime.

Ouch. You've spent a lot in a short space of time. Just so buyers know, is there still an issue where the revs drop when it idles?

When I got the car it used to do it quite alot but never to the extent that the car would stall.

When I got a new earth fitted it went.

Having said that I have noticed it a couple of times since (when playing really loud music with a sub)

Best to leave it alone imo. Not causing any harm and I have only noticed it once in the last month :)

Lovely car mate, but if you want to sell it, I'd advise you to drop your price a little. Cars a little younger than this (95, 96), with lower mileage are going for around that price on AutoTrader.

Only issue when i had the car was the idle which i did mention to the buyer and any other potential person (agentturbo - carl) will varify i told him.

When i had the car everything was fine except the above as i am sure my other mate (Dawolf) will verify also.

Money spent is down to the guy who purchased the car which all looks better for the potential buyer. i also think it will be unfair to disclose the price i sold it for.

good luck with the sale :thumleft:

The car will be going on ebay soon because I have found a flat I like.

I would rather it stays in the club tho tbh :(

This car will make someone really happy.

Any offers?

Only the fact it's based so far away from me is preventing me biting your hand off mate. Although if I can't find anything in the next few weeks that I like near me I may be tempted to take a very long train journey!
