Guages

Post by redeye32uk »

Couple of questions guy's :?: ..... I'm about to get me a boost guage from Speed Hut to match my dash dials but it doesn't go into the minus reading, does it matter :!: .
Also which would be the most usefull dial to get with it, the choices are Oil Pressure 0-100psi , Oil Temp , Water Temp , Volt Guage , Egt or Air/fuel ratio gauges .All guages are electric by the way and come with senders ect.

All it means on the boost gauge is that it will not show the vacumm reading.

It will just show positive boost.

Main gauges to have are oil temp and oil pressure.

Craig

I have:

Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Air/Fuel
Water
Boost
VAC

Cheers, thats what i thought.
i've got a two gauge pilar pod so with the boost only room for one other guage so i'm thinking Oil Pressure's the one to go for.
See you've no room left then

hmmm, you could, but I would prefer oil temp, that way, you know your engine oil is up to temp before giving it some!

Just my 2p!

Sorry to hijack the thread guys, but I've just bought a dual guage pillar pod, and was wondering how you got your lines/wiring to the guages when they're mounted. Did you drill the pillar to get them through or summat? :?

thats the only gauge i ever needed to be honest.... it's always nice to know other stuff as well but you would be better spending the money on maintenance.

Yuo don't actually NEED loads of gauges, but I'm paranoid.

The OTHER car runs Boost, Oil Temp, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, EGT, Fuel Pressure.

The MR2 just has Boost and EGT.
