Reaction time adds no affect to the time covered by the car across the qrt ... you could sit there all day - mainly for driver improvement or the serious competition goers !

always thought about that mate.In theory you could sit there all day as your quarter mile time only begins when you break the lights.You not actually racing against the other car although most people do.

I believe it is because he was looking for his traction control button and didn't realise the lights had gone green.
