mk1/b tbar for sale

Post by aw11ian »

my girlfriend has a mk1 g reg with 107k on genuine,t bar in white with leather, had new wings and rear arches plus the pieces infront and behind rear arches replaced.
good service history with it ,new battery.
comes face off panasonic head unit,kn filter, janspeed stainless exhaust,14 " alloys with good tires all round, loads of service history.
bad points
the alternator has ceased ,fan belts still ok and the rear brakes seem to of locked on,its got a mot till oct 07left and 12 months tax .
realistically whats it worth, when i drove it last it went like a rocket, good strong engine,no popping out of 5th and just needs cosmetics and said problems sorting?
many thanks for your valued opinions
if you want pictures please email me at [email protected]
cheers

Its worth more without any immediate faults and would be much easier to sell. Post some pictures up,as these cars are priced more on overall condition than age, mileage etc. HTH

as a non runner sadly not much
a weekend work and sub £100 spend and you should sell it easy
but check down every other drive way/garage/carport you will find tons of "just need a bit of work cars" unloved and unwanted and not fetching much cash

Without pics i'd say £100-500

mine was like that but needing panels and a clean up. and the rest

market isn't strong unfortunately, fixing and getting a fresh MOT would help loads IMO

Sorry but £100 - £500 for a mk1 with good arches (as long as they are properly repaired) is well off the mark. More like £1000 +

Get the niggles done then £1500 +

(I'm talking from experience)

I would concur, this is definitely the right time of year to sell a T-bar. It's worth a few hours and £ to sort the alternator & brakes out.

Well i would not buy it with short MOT, no pics, or alternator for more than £500 if i went to look at it maybe, the dreading of any MOT is enough to kill the value of most old cars! defo sort the niggles, or sling it on ebay and see... :D

Now its in FS thread, good luck with it all whatever you do, It does sound like a good car TBH, If someone handy here sees the potential it may be a good thing for both parties. check rough ebay prices for a rough guide. :) HTH
