[Mk2] [NA] live wire for unit

hello could someone help ive bought a unit to replace old one but problem is the live wire has no power which it did have before ive checked all my fuses but all ok a quick reply wiil be helpfull as i want to fitover weekend thanks

Hi there, what kind of unit are we talking about firstly?? stereo?? if so you will need a permanent live feed and another live feed, you could always take a permanent live feed from the battery direct and a feed from the cig lighter so that the unit only works when the ignition is on???

That's how mine is and i dont have any probs, others may say different???
