I appreciate that this will come as a surprise to many members here. We've been investigating this for a week now, and this isn't something we have done lightly.

It is very rare for us to have to even give a formal warning to anyone on the forum, and we have spent a lot of time with Tim following previous issues back in last June and January of this year where the forum rules were broken.

In this case, we had a number of members come forwards to us with PMs that they had been surprsied to have received from Tim.

These were checked and validated, and in discussion with Tim he has accepted that he has written them.

I've just been on the phone to Tim and hes asked me to make a last post from him, hes e-mailed me these last words from him. I hope the commitee will allow this.. :-

Message posted on behalf of Tim at xxxx

After all the years and support I’ve received from the members on this forum I feel I need to offer an apology and explanations to my actions.

I won’t be disclosing any personal information or the name of the other affiliate that is involved.

Over the last 8 months there has been an intense rivalry between myself and another Imoc affiliate, over the last few months its been getting more intense, a recent email from an overseas supplier confirming the spreading of rumours and me being a thief to gain my dealership was the last straw. I obtained that email on the night I posted those PM’s. One was I reply to a member who was contacting me regarding engine building components and asked my honest opinion on 2nd hand internals. I gave my opinion, which I can now see was deemed as negative towards his business. The other PM was continuing a discussion from MSN were myself and a previous customer of the un-named affiliate were talking about mechanical practices and quality of work, the PM did contain some negative comments that were biast feeling from myself towards this other affiliate.

I total admit in my anger from the earlier incident I voiced my negative opinion over PM to another Imoc member, I’ll hold my hands up and admit I was wrong. The decision from the committee and admin staff was a correct judgement to issue a warning. Unfortunately this being a 3rd resulted in a ban from this forum.

I feel I need to extend my apologises to the members of this forum who have showed me such support over the last years, this was a lapse in my character and something I regret

There decision is final I just wanted to offer my apologises to the members and committee/admin team for the past complications I have caused, and my apologises accepts as a parting gesture.

I will still continue to trade on other owners club forums and my website will still be operational, I just won’t be able to post or participate on this forum which I have grown accustom to.

Thankyou

Tim

It's a shame but however cross you are you basically have to be professional in business, and it looks like Tim has admitted here that he was less than that. Unfortunately the forum rules are clear, three warnings and then a ban. Shame as he has in his time contributed a lot, but rules are there to guide people and can't be ignored no matter the status or input of the member involved.

T
(no longer committee, glad I didn't have to deal with the enormous work I know this would've thrown up).

I can vouch for this being a seriously involved discussion. That most definately not taken lightly.

Sad loss to imoc :(

This is a bleedin' disgrace!!!

This has been a complete 'fit up' by another Kidderminster affiliate and his cronies.

Tim, my friend you've been baited by this guy, and it looks like he has suceeded in getting you banned from this site, just don't let him put you out of business, which was his other goal as I remember

I don't deny Tim may have behaved inappropriately, but he has been under immense pressure over the last 6 months and on the recieving end of many malicious rumours.

There are some sick minded back stabbing people on this forum, and I hope the 'baiters' get their reward (30% discount on engine work?) for their dirty deed.
I'm sickened by this whole turn of events, totally disgusted.
I don't intend to make things worse for you Tim, but I feel I should get this off my chest, so to speak

Admin? Keep a close eye on you know who.

i am not a member of the comittie, however i DO know that this has been though about long and hard, and ALL avenues have been look in to.

TIM`s bann on this form will deffo be noticed and there all allot of people on here he has helped throughout and will continue to do so no doubt

However, there is certain ways in not to do things, business wise which I THINK is the only reason for been banned. no one is saying he is such a bad fella, just a few thing not to go about things

Be careful what you say. You may only know half the story. If what you say is true then surely there is evidence of this and the other party will be reprimanded too. Tim must be in the wrong for this to happen, and with the 3rd official warning within 12 months he's not without previous.

I don't particularly care what I say, and lets be clear about this, you are a friend of said rival affiliate?, Isn't it a co incidence that the warnings have come about the same time as the rival started his 'enterprise'?

I may not have any tactile evidence, but I have eyes and ears, and I know a lot of people in the MR2 world.

You're wrong, not 'your wrong'. Whatever makes you feel happy, I don't intend to get into an arguement with you on here...
Wasn't it a FACT that Saddam had WMD? You see my point.... =;
Yes, everyone has bias towards other MR2 tuners on here, including admin i've no doubt, but we don't all pedal it to our advantages and perswonal vendettas.

Tim has said himself he was in the wrong and deserves a ban, no ifs or buts about it. He has had 3 warnings therefore he is banned.

Nobody is saying he is a bad at what he does, it was simply the way he conducted himself on this forum which resulted in the ban.

No need for arguements
If you can't see the angle, you're in trouble.

Ok - keep it calm. As has been said before, we've reluctantly had to take this action because of what was presented to us, and later confirmed. In all of the time the forums have been running we have only banned 2 other people, so it's *really* not something we take lightly.

As a FYI, in order to get banned, you have to have seriously transgressed the rules three times within 12 months (formal warnings last for 12 months).

I thought you might correct my typo, not a spelling mistake I may add.
You work for the said rival, I don't.

Wrong again. I actually run a pub in Brierly Hill. Wasn't it you that lived with Tim for a while? A very close associate and will have a biased view without question so you are bound to blame anybody else but Tim.

However certainly seems there has been certain rivalry going on...
