Caribean Blue Rev3 10th anniversary

Post by steveybMR2-173 »

The time has come where im considering selling my much cherished 1996 rev3 UK 10th Anniversary model N/A.

Id been using this MR2 as my daily car for much of last year and even did a 3 week tour of Europe where it never missed a beat.

Im the Ed of MR2 Only Magazine and many of you might have seen my car at events, the car is mint and I will be sad to see it go, but im on a quest for more power, and now having a company car, I can finally afford to run a turbo as a just for fun and weekend car. I had considered a turbo or V6 swap but Ive kinda decided it would be wrong to do this to an Anniversary model.

Spec is:-
1996 Rev 3 N/A T/bar
UK Model
Number 173 of 250 made for the UK
Its caribean blue ( genuine anniversarys were only ever silver and caribean blue, I stand corrected but I think the blue ones where are the rarer of the two)
73,000 miles
Full Toyota stamped book, plus two services Ive had done at Rogue
Full black leather interior

Anniversary feature included:
Momo limited part wooden steering wheel with number plaque
Number plaque on engine lid
Darker grey five spoke alloys
Stainless MR2 sill Kick Panels
Grey badges to rear
Bilstein shocks

Ive only done very subtle mods to the car which are:
K&N Induction kit
Mongoose exhaust system
Blueflame de-cat pipe (also have cat in a box)
Clear front indicators
Silver speedhut dials
Motoria front and rear strut braces

Car has MOT until August/September
Taxed for 5 months
Serviced at Rogue less than 500 miles ago

Will make some photos available on MR2 Only.com tomorrow sometime.

Looking for around £4650

WANTED... Rev 3 turbo, must be T/bar!

Cheers mate, keep getting good comments about the car, including my other half saying I shouldnt be selling it! makes me wonder whether Im mad changing it!

Ive got a couple of people interested in it, and Im just weighing up my turbo options for replacing it, desperately seeking a t-bar turbo! :?

Believe me Jon, its gone through my head more than once, thing is the car is just too good an example to hack apart, and risk it going wrong, besides having bought a house back in November I dont have the cash for a turbo install, if I had the money and the space Id keep her and get a turbo as well, but its beginning to look like MR2s 'r' us here! with the track car n all,

Will be sad to see the Anni go, my family think im barking mad!

Im planning out a build project but the Anni would need to go for it to happen, bit of interest in it, but it doesnt go will enjoy the summer in it and then save for a tubby next year.
