It aint big and it's not clever, you're a **** for even thinking about that! Why not face them like a man? Hell when i was 14 and someone hit my dads BMW I gave them what for, didnt go around keying bloody cars.

So now both party's vehicles are damaged, great, if you had acted like a man and spoke to them you never know they may have paid up!

    To you! [-X

Oh and admitting it on a forum is not a good idea, you just look like a proper pleb! [-X Think twice in future, because this is not the kind of reputation IMOC wants to be renouned for!

It really gets my back up these people that have no regard for your car and open their door against it in the car park.

Came home from work one day and stopped at the local shopping centre, this was about 4:30pm and the place was pretty quiet, so I parked across 2 spaces (delibertaley) when this woman with her shopping stops at the her car parked next to mine ranting and raving about me taking up 2 spaces and my lack of courtesy to other car park users - the place was dead! I told her that it was because I was sick of people opening their doors against my motor. This obviously pi$$ed her off even more so in a fit of rage she threw her door open and still managed to whack my car!

Then she had the cheek to laugh about it saying thats what I deserved, but not looking the classiest of citizens, so I'd have got no repair out of her, I gave her a piece of my mind telling her that she was the type of person I was trying to avoid, got in my car and found another space. She looked the type of the above mention to$$ers that would take a swipe at my car and not think twice!

Recently,I'm in Tesco car park, I'm leaning over into the passenger footwell getting my steering wheel lock and there is a clunk from the passenger door. I look up and a guy and his missus are getting out of their Audi TT. I open the door and walkk round to assess damage. The woman gives me a right mouthful and the guy starts ranting. I just let them walk away and then keyed his fu£$ing piece of xxxx car right down to the metal.
Generally, I'm an easy going guy but that level of disrespect p1$$e$ me off. The Jerry Springer brigade I'm afraid - "All rights but NO responsibilities"

Oh, BTW you're right the ba£$%rds should be shot.

You're so brave  What damage was done to your car ? None most likely, yet rather than just have a rant (or possibly a slap) at the driver you just key his car :? As you say ba£$%rds like you should be shot.

Had someone drive into the side of my last MK1 in Surrey Uni carpark, left a huge dent from the back of the door to the wheel arch. B@stard didn't leave a note and the CCTV only took pics every minute so missed it. Was absolutely gutted, bloody students!

Would never condone damaging another persons car for anything like this, although in the heat of the moment I can see how emotions can get the better of you, bit of control required methinks.

I'm always cautious about supermarkets etc....even in my Primera. I try and park where noone else is. I also look to see if the car next to me (if I do park next to someone) has bump strips, which help a little if they do knock.

One day when I was younger I let my door go getting out and the wind caught it and blasted it into the next car... ...noone else was about so I had a quick look....the car I hit was ok but my paint was marked on it......I was carrying some Mer polish in the boot as it happened. I got a rag out the boot and polished it out....the owner would never have known....I was lucky...

An eye for an eye it should be.
But at the end of the day go see the security guards most car parks have a decent cctv setup now so if theres any major damage speak to the insurance company.
But remember cctv works both ways.

i think if you can't do the bloke , what else can you do?
Ask for insurance details
You arent just gonna walk off after recieving a load of abuse from someone whos just opened their door full pelt onto you pride and joy [-X

I wouldve let their tyres down instead left them stranded for a while

Lol at that one, no actual damage on that, just a major headache for the owner. I bet some git could still do ya for criminal damage! Must remember that next time the owner isnt available to thump.

I cant belive some people will actually stoop so low as to key someone elses car on purpose in revenge! What a man that makes you!

lol at letting tyres down, as far as i know thats not criminal damage......its not broken and can easily be fixed at no cost.

Hope you get a new wing soon mate 8) . Something sort of similar happened to me just last week but luckily a company guy reversed his truck into my drivers door so my company is paying. I dropped my two into the shop yesterday and will collect after returning from a 3 wk USA vacation in early may, hopefully my 2 will be nice a shiny :D

Found this posted on another forum - i thought it was quite funny (maybe that says something about me though  ) hopefully a mild carpark bump on the door doesnt end up this way for you guys! That said it is soooo annoying though - thats why i always park at the far end of the car park where no one else can be bothered to because of the walk. And whoever else said it is spot on - the sort of cars we drive and the mods some folk have had done make us stand out just a tiny bit!! :D

Have a look! http://www.coolbuddy.com/videos/video_clip.asp?id=53
