Would just like to thank all of the above for the work and advice on my car.

Took my car down to Naths

(well had it trailored) a while ago with a coolant leak which was fixed pronto.

Sounds simple yeah? are MR2's ever that simple???

While I had the turbo off I sent it to turbotechnics as the car was using a silly amount of oil.

Turns out that a foreign object had got inside and damaged the bearing housing and blades, not only that but who ever fitted the turbo before I had bought the car had used silicone instead of a proper gasket which eventually got inside the turbo and block the oil way!!!

So turbo was sent back all fixed and put back on.

.

.fixed I hear you say? noooooooo this is an MR2 after all lol

When it was all back together it was fired up it didnt run at all and was plooming smoke form exhaust and stalling.

(see this thread for full problem
http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?t=65991
)

Checks were made on the ecu, AVCR, ignition system, AFM, HT leads, plugs,,,,the list goes on as did the time put in on it.

It was eventually found with a faulty wire going to the AFM

(Im not mechanically minded, hence car went to Nath) so I cant tell you what wire lol
Nath or John have not charged me any labour for the work on finding the fault on the wire

,now that all remains is to have my 7 studs into the head replaced with some ones from fensport then the car is finally back on the road after a long time off it, just in time for this weather

Big thanks to all, cant wait to get the car back on the road
