how heavy are you?

Post by Quigonjay »

just been checking mk2 turbo weights on this website-
http://www.motortraders.net/imports/sel ... &model=MR2

think they are us spec figures but cant imagine there being any diference between us/jdm weights and dont know how accurate they are but seem quite accurate on other details

according to the figures -
lightest mk 2 turbo - rev1 (either coupe/t-bar) 1240kgs
heaviest mk2 turbo - rev2 t-bar 1310kgs
all other revs somewhere in between

i imagine some of that is due to side impact bars/bigger wheels/bigger brakes but maybe they added extra strength to the t-bar version on the rev2?

also quote new prices if anybody is good with yen?
Jay

edit: ahhh, quoted in yen, must be jdm spec then

LOL True! Well, if it was part of a usual 'meet', it wouldn't be so bad. Maybe a mass trip to a weighbrige, and then off to the usual pub/B&Q carpark for the usual meet session?

Ooh top idea. So much cheaper than rolling road days plus you don't use any fuel.

Also the MK1s would be the lightest too... :)

kurb weight is what should be talked about, i think i hold the record so far for the lightest sw20 turbo at full tank petrol, full washer bottle, tool kit as the car drives 1250kg proven on a weigh station.

I thought Kerb weight was what we are talking about. You can only get one figure from a weighbridge.

Kurb weight is what i was on about. My 1280kgs was on a weighbridge, not just a guesstimate.
