Hi mate, yeah I went to look at another car he had. It's not a garage, he sells them off his drive, at least thats where I went to look at it, and he had two on the drive. He seemed ok, he also has another full time occupation so I think selling these cars is something he's trying to build up. I didn't have the car off him just because I thought it was overpriced. Didn't see the one you've linked to, although he has had it for quite a while.

Also no offence to UK sellers, but if you're looking for a new '2 I would just ring up GTS Chris and import one.

I went to buy this car about 18 months ago. It was being sold by a chap in Preston at the time.

He only wanted £3500 for it and was going to give me £2000 px on my old Celica GT4 ST185 which I found very generous.

The hole in the front bumper is where the towing eye was put, this is done in japan when a car is being used as a race car. It could have been done for looks :? . He had NO correct history, all the paper work was for a different chassis number on the same reg. It was all very suspicious, I think this car is one of my very first posts on this forum.

I was very tempted but alarm bells were ringing and for once I used my head and gave it a wide berth.

In fact someone on here bought it I remember now as I voiced my concerns to him on things he had missed.

Upon searching I found this http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... ht=#171030

Standard intercooler too. :-k

Looks suspicious to me.

Why not just by a car off IMOC. There have been some real bargains lately.

Oh, and regarding mileage, I wouldn't worry too much. Just take each car at face value is the best thing to do.

Good luck in finding one!
