Mr2 owners and thier jobs

I'm ummmm *cough* toying with the idea of a Mk3 - I kind of like them and I need something newer than my (semi) trusty Mk2. I know its a different class of car (a slightly lower one than thw MK2), but I need something I can jump in and drive knowing it aint gonna go wrong. What are people's general opinion of the (Manual) MK3?

Oh i don't know. I've gone off skylines a bit, as they are a bit of a barge. But they do disguise their weight well and are deceptively quick.
