Do I recall BaT offering half day sessions or am I making all that up/thinking of BaT Cat hire

(not in the Elvington case

- just in general).

You may find once you're on track that an hour goes really quickly and you'll be keen for more.

IMHO track driving is about learning how the car handles and moves and that's something I find is easier to learn with repitition.

I would happily drive on a track for as long as I have brakes,

tyres, petrol and a cool enough engine if I could

- I find driving at speed on a track is something that gobbles up time.

.

.if you want to try then Elvington is an ideal opportunity.

It's one of the cheaper places, full of friendly IMOC people

(IMO Club days are much friendlier than open days) and there's loads of run-off.

Not sure if there's tuition available

- if there is it usually gets snapped up and although I've never taken any

(on tarmac) I'm told by people who have that's it's a real eye-opener.

See you at Elvington.

Come over for a social visit or passenger run if not to drive

- you'll need to fill in a form or two, need a helmet

(I assume) and will need to keep your arms and

(I assume) legs covered.

Other than that it won't cost anything.

Cheers,
Si.
