MR2 Challenge - Snetterton 6th April

Post by vix »

If any of the competitors can confirm the date I'd be grateful.

I have managed to secure a special parking area for Mk1 Club members again - IMOC very welcome too. You wont be able to miss us hopefully, as you come over the bridge, turn left and we will be there!

If anyone with a Mk1 Club gazebo is coming, can you bring it please as I have permission to put it up!

Excellent, thanks for letting me know!

If anyone will be in the area and bored on the Thurs night or even over the weekend, let us know as we live very local to Snetterton and could meet in a pub for a few :)

There'll be a bunch of us testing on the Thursday and most likely staying overnight. Will let you know if anything gets organised for the evening.

We have a spare room Tim if it shows or anything ;) We'd be happy to let people stay at our place, but we have no room for cars - having just aquired a fourth Mr2!

I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

The usual pre-race preparation regime for you then, eh?

The bigger his hangover, the better he drives! 8)

Glad to hear you guys will be there testing on Thursday. Karen and I'll be there too. :thumleft:

So where are the club going to view from?? Russell's Chicane?

I'll be stuck up at Riche's during the racing, but a meetup at lunchtime?

The parking area is behind the ambulance gate at Russel, and I usually view from the mound at Russel. People can view from where they like really but a lunchtime meet up sounds fun - you wont be able to miss us hopefully. We'll bring both our cars in case no one else turns up though ;)

Patrick, Does that mean there is only going to be 1 race for each?

Or do both mks get 2 races?

:-s

Both mk's get 2 races and a practice/qualifying session so lots of MR2 action.

Does this mean that some of the circuits that were dropped due to grid size limitation could be re-instated ?

Would be tempted to come and watch, but 300 miles each way to Snetterton is a bit far, especially with Bank Holiday traffic :(

Thanks Jo, I have my flag so that will be flying with pride. Was just a thought if anyone has a gazebo that is coming, we may as well put it up. Not that I have a clue how to!

Ps, welcome home :D
