I usually get high 20s to the gallon (averaged over several thousand miles of running). Current fuel prices that works out at about 15-16p/mile. So I'd expect about 100 miles from £15. 92 miles doesn't seem too bad.

tyre pressures
junk in the boot
short trips with the car not warming up
excess braking / accelerating

All of these things can affect mpg, as advertised by our Government here:

Personally, I'd ignore the one about changing up at 2,500 revs though...

I get between 180 and 220 miles from between £35 and £40

(if that helps??)

I think it's around 21-25mpg. Rev2 though, so crappy AFM.

how empty is empty?
you phyically drained all of it out and measured how much you put in?

the fuel light can go on for a good 20-30miles, so i wouldnt base it on this fact alone....

only true way of measuring is to have half a tank, fill it up, note the ltrs and ££, drive to roughly half a tank again, fill it up to the brim again, this way you can work out exactly how much your putting back in and the ££ again to work out mpg....

It's worth searching for threads on MPG and fuel economy - there are loads!

If your fuel economy is consistently low, no matter how carefully you drive, then consider checking the lambda sensor (again, loads of threads on this if you search).

Mine was busted but didn't report any error codes. Only evidence was high emissions and running (even more) rich.

Since I replaced the sensor I get about 33mpg (compared with about 25mpg before).

omg, is there sumthin wrong with my car?!?

i always fill it up and get exactly 200 miles out of the tank, thats showin on the E line but without the fuel light on, its always done that in 5 years of ownership, an mainly around town driving!

Sounds like it!

If it's an NA then 30mpg (260ish miles) should be fairly easy to get, if a turbo it shouldn't be loads less...

The MoTeC makes the fueling off boost so much better than the stock ECU. On a full tank, I've seen 376 miles and still going.

When it's hitting 1.5 bar though, I'm hard pressed to get more than 8 mpg from it.

I get well over 270miles to a tank full of petrol on a mainly motorway journey, around town I would imagine it to be somewhat less 8)

Around town i'll get around 50-60 miles on a tenner, I do alot of short, stop start journeys though.

It all depends on how yo drive etc....
