Tbh i think it would be barge like..

More than likely. :(

Some judicious use of the handbrake may make it a bit more interesting though.

Anyone got a MK1 I can borrow? 8-[

Toms always up for somebody to share with, although Lord knows what he'll actually bring with him, and you'd probably have to put up with some intergalactic flappage :thumleft:

Love you really Tom :)

....sadly it's still the same for me - I can't pay for anything until the third week of March )c:

I _hope_ both my provisional bookings will be secure (Angers & Spa)....

Perhaps a word with J5 may help....do you think?

...dammit! I've been out'd 8-[

I'll give him a shout and see what he says. I need to call anyway to stump up for some BaT credit so I'll ask about both things.

SC is poorly )c: ...so I may be in the Rex - and if that's the case I'll need to get a brake upgrade on it ASAP so it'll stop a few times in a short period of time - at the mo it only stops perhaps twice before the brakes go. I need a word with Mr Wilson me thinks \:D/

Now the Restoration show's over, I'm gonna spend some time on organising this.

Can everyone that's keen to do the weekend cottage thing (like at cadwell) let me know idea of nights and accomodation needed please?

At the moment, I have a couple of options looking at around £50-60 per person for three nights. Hard to get prices without an idea of numbers though.

Thanks
Kirsty

Tom - I appreciate your concern Sir! The Rex once it's running properly (which it is 8-[ for now) is fairly bullet proof and I'm not that hard on cars on the track.

On the up-side I have some good news for the SC (See my gallery or the other place) which is I've sorted the exhaust and all that remains now is for me to sort the speedo.

I need to take the speedo-drive box off. It's removed but there isn't enough clearance to get it out of the engine bay  options are....

1... Drop the engine down so it'll be below the rear bulkhead and slide out.

2... Whack the googlies out of the rear bulkhead to give me the extra inch clearance it needs.

...but that's for a different thread.

Edit: Doh! Kirsty - would you put me down for Friday, and Saturday nights please? (A room to myself if possible but if not let me know, it's no problem (c: ).

Yes I know. You are Damon Hill-like on track! i.e smooth AND quick! :thumleft:

Still think it's a bit of a risk taking the expensive Rex on track :-k

There is a possibility you don't need a car at all. You could possibly share my car with me, just need to speak to my brother and dad to see what they're up to!

Tom,
You're a Star, thanks for your kind offer! I'm expecting to have the SC running TBH. If it's the Rex then I may use it to get there and back and perhaps look to hire a BaT Cat or share the hire on one if I'm allowed. I need to 'make friends' with the Rex again and I think the new Angers has the run-off and openness to allow that. I need to push it to break its grip for a while so I need an open new modern track to do that.

I've updated the gallery/mod images, the bit I need to replace (...remove and then replace) is the last photo in my gallery - that's the last job and I'm sure it won't take best part of three months - lol. Famous last words perhaps.

No, she's absolutely useless at driving!

There's no way on earth I'm letting her drive my SC on the road, let alone a track!
