Guildford Meet - 25th March 2007

Post by Tiamat »

BACK ONCE AGAIN!

Despite the disasters of the previous meet, with MR2s dropping like flies and being injured inthe line of duty, Guildford rears its ugly head once again.

The start time is going to be 11.30 to take into account daylight and driving time, also there is an intention to leave for the pub at 12.45 - 13.00 (sharp - no waiting) to ensure we have plenty of time to get there.

The start place for the meet is to be at the Spectrum Leisure Centre to make it easier to get out of the start venue. Details here:

Guildford Spectrum
Parkway
Guildford, GU1 1UP
01483 443 322
www.guildfordspectrum.co.uk

The destination and route are to be confirmed, Alex "Kiss Me Quick" 2Crooky is kindly taking on responsibility for the final destination and route and will no doubt post up details in due course. Many thanks for the help Alex :thumleft:

The MX5 people enjoyed it last time so will be invited again. If people feel there are any other car clubs who would be welcome, please let me know and we'll see about either including them on this one or the next one.

Please add your name in the usual manner and lets make this Guildford meet a big one. With no casualties.

Don't fret mate - we'll both be there.
Whichever pub is chosen I can guarantee to find a short cut which will get us to the bar first. :thumleft:

Route is set!!

We will come off the A3 southbound in the usual place heading through Milford.

Then taking the A286 most of the way down towards midhurst with some other bendy bits in between, then across to the same pub as last months meet.

The roads are awesoooooome!! The pub food was good and it is close to the A3 for people to get home sharpish if needed!!

A286 is a great road. :thumleft: Definately one of my favourite drives when it's clear, I think a midnight drive in the summer should be organised for that road. Church hill in Haslemere is good for reverb and the twisties after Fernhurst are great, but nasty in the wet (saw a Z3 shiney side down a couple of years ago).

Only speed camera on that route is coming into Fernhurst (40mph limit).

Have fun chaps. :thumleft:
