MISSING THREAD

Post by Andy Champ »

Ah! I can post here. Good.
I was going to put it in "Site News and Announcements...Also - please use this forum to report error messages you see using this site." but "Sorry, but only moderators can post topics in this forum."
Anyway, that isn't why I started. I was having a discussion with Lauren among others about trackday insurance under the thread title "rev3 turbo v wrx". I'm sure I wasn't imagining it, because I have a "Topic Reply Notification" email. BUT - when I click on the link
http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=545499#545499
in the mail "The topic or post you requested does not exist"
WTF? I wasn't so rude to Lauren that the whole thread should be killed!

Hi Andy,

The entire thread has been deleted. Not because of your comments at all, it was the comments from the original poster that caused the problem.

Hope you understand why.

Best regards,

Tom

Can't honestly remember what he wrote. Any idea why I can't post to site news and announcements, despite the description?

Site News and Annoucements is for the nerds who run the behind the scenes stuff for the site (e.g. Me / Ben / Esmond) to post up the news and/or announcements.

If you have feedback, thats what the suggestions forum is for. :thumleft:

OK, understood. It'd probably be an idea to take "Also - please use this forum to report error messages you see using this site" off the description!

LOL!

Andy, no problem or issue with you at all. It was removed by one of the committee members (not me) due to the illegality of nightspirit's starting post.

<thinks> must try harder next time...

Anyone going to change the usage guidance on "Site News and Announcements"?
