Also in July there is the Retro Car Show at santa pod always a good show but its different people organising it this year as the magazine 'Retro Cars' is no more. Santa Pod are organising it this year.

I tried last year to get enough interest for a mk1 club stand at retro show at pod, but to no avail.
not sure if i can go this time - as i think it clashed with another club event last time too.


really like the sound of the one at mallory.
if there is enough interest and dosent clash, then i will (or you can) do a mk1 club stand at mallory

it should be a good show though - retro cars are much more my cup of tea rather than the cavvy ones.

No prob with the move. be good to get a MK1 stand, although, the good thing about this, or should i say these shows is the variety, everything is interesting. there may be chances of parking up on show solo, a few of ya's or retro carpark type thing, i can ask if you want, the lads organising RRS would be happy to see ya/us.

Oooo! Both sound really good! Would love to do both, but Mallory may be a bit far and SP date is a bit inconvenient (family birthday). But we'll see!

Just so that people don't have to follow the links - the Mallory park one is August 10th-12th. There's camping each night and it looks very much in a similar style to JAE, but the emphasis is on Retro cars rather than Jap cars. Really would be great to have a Mk1 stand here if possible... Looks really good!

there was about 90 of us (retro rides gang) at CARS, the retro rides show is a spin off of us taking up a 10% of last year classic and retro show. retro rides show should be great if you like retro cars. be no trouble getting a stand for IMOCers/MR2clubbers i'm sure,

I was too busy , being busy at last years CARS show at santa pod to get loads pics, though expect to see stuff like this at retro rides show this year.

sorry low on MR2's My MR2 didnt make MOT in time last year, by a few days! infact i did not see many at all.

If we have a club stand I'll put a bit more effort into trying to go! It's just that I'm probably going to be away the week before and so it'll be a lot of travelling to do on Friday.
However, plans are not set in concrete yet...

Coolio, I saw only 1 MR2 at CARS (not mine), gonna be great at retro rides show. looking forward. sadly i'll be on the Retro Rides club stand (god knows what in [-o< ), but i'll certainly come hang out with imoc/MK1 lot, camping should be a hoot too!
