Ok guys we are going to try and beat the world record for the most cars on the road in convoy of one make that being the MR2 all Mks allowed.Get your names down here and then i will transfer them to the mr2oc see this link.

Just to set the record straight the date has been confirmed for the 29th April 2007,however we may be able to camp overnight or you can arrange B&b to make this a weekend not to forget.

The event is taking place on a race event weekend of the BRSCC at Rockingham over the 28th/29th April.

Racing over the weekend will include:
Mighty Minis Championship
BRSCC LMA Euro Saloon and Sports Car Championship
Super Mighty Minis Championship
VSR & Super Silhouettes Championship
Pickups
SCSA
Fiat Racing Challenge
BRSCC Alfashop Alfa Romeo Championship

For a £7.50 per person entry fee, you can get access to watch the racing on both sat and sunday, but ONLY IF YOU PREBOOK. You will also be given access to a skidpan on both days, and if you bring licence/helmet you can have 2 hours of track time on Saturday evening.
The record will be attempted at 1.05pm on Sunday, and will require the cars to 'be rolling' so be prepared to take part! and be in your car!

Rumor has it that the TVR club of Great Britan is trying to set a new world record for the most vehicle of a single marque in a signle place (250)

Now they are doing this as a protest agaist TVR production being outsourced ....

Once they have had there publicity i feel that we could easliy get over 250 MR2s in one place ..PLus we would up the anti as it not just one marque but one Model (Mk1 and 2 and 3 are all still Mr2's).

Just an idea What do people think ?

Just a quick update we now have 286 names down and we are on course for taking the record from the Netherland OC club providing we have at least 163 turn up,so just to point out if we don't have 163 turn up it this hard work will be in vain,so can i ask you nearer the time to confirm if you are coming or not and once again thanks for your support.

SteveWell finally got in touch with me and is still trying to sort thing are in both agreement we shouldn't pay to get in, as in a ses,wense we will be entertaining 4000+ people but if we do have to pay it will be around £8 each instead of £15 for the 2 days,also he is arranging 2 hours of track time for the Sat also entertainment in the evening food and drinks will be available for the Sat evening is also talking to someone else regards camping with proper facilities i will keep you updated once we have a firm decision.
