Hmm, a very low mileage mk2 T-bar for £1700.
Usually things that are too good to be true, normally are!
A 15 year old car with just 40k miles could be iffy. I'd want to see some kind of verification of this before I took it as gospel!

Best thing to do is give the owner a call and let him do most of the talking. You can usually gauge by the owners attitude and response to a handful of questions how the car has been looked after.

Debateable points I'd raise/question.

1. The very low mileage.
2. Service History - no mention of any?
3. When was it imported.
4. How long he/she has owned it and reason for sale.

Hope this helps - Looks like it's in Birmingham by the way!

Yeah I found that too which was why I steered away from imports.... I don't know if they reset the clock when they get here or something, but it was decidely odd...

Hi,

Looks about the right price to me for an NA. Like you say, the mileage might be a bit suspect though!

Cheers,

Paul.

low mileage imports are not that uncommon from the land of the rising sun. You wouldnt beleive how expensive it is to run/own a car over there and how strict they are, your not even allowed to own a car until you haver registered your own parking space FFS ](*,)
