[Mk2] [NA] Power steering problem

Post by gayno »

Hey guys,

The power steering control module has gone boobs up, but I have a friend who is breaking his '2.

Are all control modules the same??

Mine's a Rev2 UK spec

His is (was!) a Rev1 USA import turbo

Quick replies gratefully received!

I think people are struggling to understand what a P/S module is. Its not the most technical forum now. Ask what wheels you should get and you'll be inundated with replies.

If you mean the P/S ECU, then I can't think why they wouldn't be the same. The same with other components of the system. The main part I think thats different from one revision to another is the horn connector on the wheel/column :?

Thanks for that, a lot of the people I've spoken to are saying they don't see why not!

Here's a pic of my mates one from his Rev1 USA Import:

Does this help at all??

To be honest mate I don't for one minute think you'll get a 100% confirmed answer. I doubt its something that anyone has done before. My advice would be to try it and see. It will either work or not at the end of the day :-k
