wow - thanks for everyones hard efforts in the organisation so far =D>
(its taken a load of worry off my mind now, as i see its all looking very promising)

don't worry if you do forget anything - as there are loads of stalls there that will sell anything from the usual zip ties, tools, gaffer tape, to the weird and wonderful.

As for costs - don't worry (but please be aware that it is coming from the events budget - so i have a say in that really 8-[ )

Steve - please pm me regarding display stands - v interested :thumleft:
(we have been talking about this as a committee recently)

FOOD: there are loads of great food stands too :thumleft:

keep up the good work peeps :thumleft:

If I'm honest Tom I'm more concerned about ensuring I don't find myself with a car that's got still got important bits missing at the end of the day. The state of the flags on the club stand doesn't affect whether or not I can get home!

Stop worrying Phil! :D It'll be fine, honestly.....

At one stage last year we thought that we weren't going to get Chris's (Unleash) car finished. And we had taken the suspension to bits!

But we just all mucked in and got it sorted! :D

Was a close one, but got it all back together with time to spare, the ford boys behind us on the other hand were no way near finished by the end.

Ive not really said much and had much involment with this event but i'll be there to help out where and when. Might get a chance to have a look around aswell, the place was massive, only saw half of it last time.

It's important to keep organised and tidy, so no bits are lost.
Also as said there are plenty of tool stalls, parts people etc, so unlikely to get stuck wanting a bolt or something.
Its mostly planning the job/time well

I've started collecting the few parts required for the show. Only hit a couple of snags so far:

Clutch slave cylinder - Mr T wanted daft money for a refurb kit and brakesint didn't have stock. In the end I have ordered a full slave cylinder from brakesint, unfortunately they only had one of those and vixs car is more in need of it than mine so looks like we won't be doing that job.

Brake pipe - Mr T informed me that the brake pipe I need to replace to allow me to fit the braided hoses is discontinued. This leaves options of getting a brake pipe kit and making up a replacement or fitting a good second hand pipe. Has anyone going to the show got either of these things? The pipe I need to sort out is at the drivers side rear.

Good thing I've got 2 spare. One for you, one for Steve.

One has been used recently and has had a refurb done, the other I'm not 100% on as it's been sat in my Dad's garage for a couple of years but was spot on whilst in my old coupe.

Righto, the van has been formally booked. Depending on how many vans they have booked out this weekend, I may get it even cheaper than first thought if you see what i mean :-$ .

Now i just want a clear idea of exactly what needs bringing.

Boards - can i have a contact number for stuart so i can arrange a time to pick up the boards?

Tools - Let me know exactly which tools to bring (aside from the obvious) as otherwise i will end up bringing a full workshop with me - as much as i would love to do this, its only gonna be me and my two arms loading the van, and im not the fittest guy in the world!
I have secured the compressor for the weekend, but which attachments do we want? ie. air gun/die grinders/sand blaster etc...

Tables - as a venue manager i have access to loads of tressle tables and hundreds of chairs. At a push i could even borrow a 5000w sound system and full lighting rig - but i'm guessing maybe a couple of tables and maybe 10 chairs will do (this is also dependant on whether i get a big enough van!)

Sat night - have we got any confirmation on whats going on on the sat night before, i hear rumours of a travelodge thing and could easily sort it so i come down on the sat night as i pick the van up on sat afternoon.

Tom - i've edited the above and pm'd it to mk1chris... Please don't post phone number and addresses of other people - it's not really secure to do so on a public forum...

Just a thought, in the pics of last year there are some parts on the table (head etc) should I bring along an engine/parts for people to look at?

no worries, what I could do is bring along an old engine and let people "have a go" undoing it/playing with it.
