Low fuel light staying on!!

Help!! My warning fuel light stays on even though I have a full tank of petrol, How can I fix this?

I have tried using STP fuel cleaner stuff, just in case, anyone had this problem? Please help.

possibility the bulb is getting a spurious feed from somewhere?

i was driving along "fuel was low,ish it came on went off came on and stayed that way for 3 weeks now if any one has any ideas would like to know where to start

I think there is a sender in the dash beneath where the astray is. Have you been fiddling around there recently? may be that something has become dislodged?
