after 4 months in our garage Sarah's mk1 is almost ready to come back on the road...

This hole isnt much bigger than before it went into the garage!

after failing the mot on needing the sill "patching" we decided a replacement skin was in order!

lol! just to clarify its not me thats done the work!!!!

a massive thanks must go to DaleHall body repairs in stoke, i would reccommend them to anyone and will defo be going back for the front half later in the year!

anyways, finished photos added

That looks great. My red Mk1 will be having the same treatment over the next few weeks - can't wait to get it all sorted. I think i'm going to go for those JDG repair panels too.

hi there neil congratulations on the mk1 its looking very nice i cant wait to see it in the flesh could you please give me an indication on the price for this work and the parts please, i dont mean to sound rude but that looks like a top job to me and i will require about the same work on our mica blue t-bar soon as i need to get it on the road. can you let me know where you got the parts as well please. after seeing this it realy makes me want to start on our mk1 now. i bet sarah is well chuffed.

Sarah is more than pleased!

It cost us a bit more than we wanted too, but we decided to go with JDG panels. The prices are on the mk1 club website, this one needed the A, B, and C panels and the sills. The panels were a good fit and the bodyshop thought they were of great quality.

The other option was to use cherry arches (i think) and fiesta sills but we decided to do it properly.

Give me a call graham if you want to discuss any more of the prices and if you want i can speak to the body shop to see what price they could do it for again!
