An update on my sc

Post by Mk1 Turbo Powered Steve »

Thanks to everyone that helped, especially Pete Mason, again :D
My mk1 sc is going into the Trac Art in Ashford Kent,to have a new gearbox fitted, which i got from TCB Performance with 3 months guarantee and at the same time i am having the big pulley fitted,at last! as i have been going on it about ever since i bought the car, over 2 years ago.

The big pulley is being supplied by Fensport,i know about the abv mod but is there anything else i should be considering?

Hopefully all being well the gearbox and pulley will be fitted and running ,early next week!

Can't wait to get her back,i'm missing her and she hasn't gone into the garage yet!!!

Steve, don't switch the VSV pipes around, get the ABV blanked off completely. its the only way to do it properly.

Richard Morgan did suggest changing the cluch as well but it seems fine!
I think the likelyhood it had already been upgraded.
Just a chance i will take!!

Just a quick question ,Lauren, will the big pulley slow the speed down on 0-60?
I know it increases mid range but not so sure about 0-60's!!

If your clutch is OK no reason to change it...but be warned mine needed changing immediately after getting a bigger pulley...heh heh
