[Mk2] [Generic] Please don't laugh!

Post by __Nick__ »

I have a funny feeling a fair few of you blokes have had girls say this to you before....that the front lights look like eyes?

My mind started playing after that n i think it'd be banter if you could get your car to "wink"

Should probably add the "does this exist?" question to the bottom of that!

:D I reckon it'd get a few laughs....or lots of "is it broken" comments.

Of course the MR2 can wink.

By default, it can wink bl flashing your high beams when the lights are off.

So, just connect a switch to your light unit and in effect disconnect one of the lights. So, when you want it to wink, just flip this switch, disabling pop-up one of the lights - thenjust flash the hi-beams.

One light will go up - flash the light and go down :D

Haven't seen my car in months now, so can't rememeber off hand which wire it is to make the light pop-up/stay down.

Mark Edwards car had a bit of an electrical fault that no-one could cure.

When flashing the lights from off - they both went up then the right one dipped to close and then back up again.

It did an actual wink!

surely a proper wink would be done with the lights on. As suggested, fit a kill switch to one side, and flick it so that light goes off and goes down, then back up - proper wink

very easy. very cheesy too, but would get a few laughs with the right crowd.

Just need to find which wire is the feed to the light motor relay for that light. splice a switch into that wire and run that into the cabin. Press the button so the light goes down and time it right to come back up.

Obviously you'd need to look into which wire to splice, but it would be that straight forward.
