Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
take em out ed, you will find there not sealed like you think. I reckon there, there for letting the damp out of the bottom of the b-pillars, most mk1's tend to rot around there.

I took the off side one off few weeks back to clean all the crap away that had built up around the edges on the bodywork.. can promise every vent hole was not a hole! They could be opened with a little persuasion (in fact a couple nearly were) but not sure whether I should or not !

thats unusual, they should have little flaps that swing free in each of the vent spaces.they are a right PITA as they are not fixed so tend to get dislodged .i have never seen any that dont have these flaps.

Right then, that's my weekend job... to release 3 sides of each flap. Cheers for advice guys !

just to expand.. think maybe the were flaps but perhaps have been sealed. When I took the part off a couple of them where virtually flapping maybe just some road grime stopping them freeing up.
Presumably both sides should be open, yes ?
