And the winner is . . . . . . . . kaiowas

As kaiowas was the only person to PM and confirm that he wanted to be put into the poll as instructed he has won!

This is the description of what needs done:
kaiowas wrote: my car is due a front end rebuild (replace bumper bar and all the various associated fixings/bracketry) which we could do at the show. I've pretty much got all the bits now and am just waiting for some decent weather to have a bash at it.
I can hold off on the work until the show. I've also got bushes and braided hoses lying about somewhere that I never got around to fitting if we need any more jobs to keep people occupied.

Hurray, winning by default!

Its only cos I nagged him to PM you too ;)

As he is now a definite attendee, put me down too as a helper. Problem is I'm not very good with tools n stuff, but I can do PR and tea making ;)

Yes . . .

kirsty wrote:I'll tie up with Tom this weekend and see if we can make some decisions.

It's great to see all this interest in the event now :thumleft:

As stated already, for the benefit of the coverage we will get in MR2Only we'll get the project car on the stand and one other which I will start a poll for at the beginning of the week.
Anyone who wants their car considered please send me a PM by Sunday 11th 8pm.

Thanks

It may be cheaper for Steve to print it if less than above. Hope this helps.
(basically you just send all the recipts to vix for reimbursement)

you might want to try these people for ink if your paying £60 for 2 colour cartidges depending on your printer !

And i'd also say yes to electricity ( for the compressor) and yes to the gas, as we will be using compressed air and possibly stuff for the welder.

Guess that's me and vix confirmed if my car's on the stand then :p Still need to look for somewhere to stay yet though.

I'll try and get around to drawing up a full list of all the little (and not so little) jobs that need doing to the car this weekend then I'll post them up here so we can decide exactly which ones we are taking on so I can be prepared with parts etc.

Speaking of which - what time does anyone recommend for us getting there? The show itself starts at 10am, it's about an hour and a half drive from me and I may have something booked the night before so can't really head over for the night...
Not that 8:30 is that early to leave, but I just want to check! :P

If I am taking the Surf then I may come up the night before and kip down in the back and be there ready for the morning, or find a suitable campsite nearby.

Tempting. Will find out tonight if I can free myself from the evening activities the night before...

Might be a bit chilly, can we look for a local cottage type place to hire for the night? I'm going out in Rugby that night so will need to get accomodation somewhere down that way.
