Don't worry about the ferry booking. Basically there is no 8am crossing so we have all been moved to 7am. I was the 1st to book and only got the email last week, you will get one before you sail......

See you on the dock.

Guys, i've booked my tickets today with www.justtickets.co.uk today, General admission + white car park. I've been told that the white car park tickets (reserved) are very nearly sold out So if you still need them get them asap. Also the woman i spoke to has told me that if you require/want the pit lane walk about on the friday, you have to tell them as they're not included, although it is free.

Thanks for that, please, please take my advice and get your parking tickets ASAP. Last year was a fiasco in terms of parking, basically we purchased tickets in France for the Blue car park but when we got there there was no more room, by the time we argued the toss we really struggled to find a parking space.

The white car park is perfect for us, its right next to the main entrance and main grandstands and its also reserved with numbers so you definately get your space. Book it now if you can with Just Tickets £33 for the whole week. We booked ours last week and there was NO mention about the tickets on the thin side.

Cheers

Can someone please ask Just Tickets when they book theirs what they mean by telling them about the pit lane walk about. Its on MAD FRIDAY, the lane is open all day, you can wander in and out as you please.

Have no idea why they would say that.

Cheers

What ho, Chaps,
Something I found out last year when extending my RAC cover for the trip to France - If you are in a car over 10 years old, there is a loading, but if you are a member of a club for that car, there is a discount which pretty well balances it out. They don't ask, so say you are a member of the club.

Hi People,

I rang just tickets .com today and booked my tickets. 2 x general admission and 1 white car park slot for £150 total.

There was no mention that the white car park was getting full but to be honest I did forgetto ask. ](*,)

I did remember to ask about mad friday though and they said it was completely free and open to everybody so no need to book tickets for that.

I'm told the general admission tickets are from wed 13th june to monday the 18th.

Can't wait now! \:D/

Good stuff, thanks for thet Peter, can't understand why they would mention you need tickets for the pit lane walkabout but at lease we now have that confirmed.

Remember that grandstand tickets are highly advised either in number 14, 15 or 16 grandstands. With having a grandstand seat you don't need to stand about for 3 hours in the sun for a good viewing spot and if it rains then your going to get wet and cold when the sun goes down.

Only 16 weeks to go..........

Update on the stickets.

Shane Watt has kindly said he will organise this for us as here is a company where he lives that will eet what we require. Basically we have decided to go for only the Le Mans 2007 logo and each pack will consist of 3 x stickers, 1 for each door and 1 for the bonnet. Its early days so we need cooperation in getting this organised. Once we have prices we will start taking orders.

Alo we are getting club window stickers made up which are going to be around £3 per set.

Shane, is it possible that you can take over this part of the thread??

Cheers

WOW!!!!!!!

Did anyone see World Motorsport on Sky on Monday. They unveiled the new Le Mans Peugoet, what a sexy looking racecar. Its very strange as the diesel makes hardly no noise at all. Last year we saw the Audi race the diesel for the very 1st time and you would expect it to be really load, actually was one of the quietest cars there. One of the best sounding cars was in fact the Ferrari 360, very sweet.

Villeneuve happy with first 908 test
Jacques Villeneuve has said that he didn't expect the Peugeot 908 to perform as well as it did during his first test with the car.

The Canadian completed his first laps behind the wheel at Paul Ricard on Thursday, and Villeneuve was pleasantly surprised by the performance of the diesel-powered car, which he will race at Le Mans later this year.

"This is a true racing machine," Villeneuve was quoted as saying by Gazzetta dello Sport. "I didn't expect that from a diesel.

"It accelerates quickly, it runs in curves at high speed, and it brakes in an impressive way."

Many of Villeneuve's observations were similar to those of the Audi drivers when they first sampled the diesel-powered R10 last year.

"I've discovered it's a real racing engine with lots of power at its disposal," he added. "What struck me most is the absence of noise in the cockpit when you're standing still.

Villeneuve expects to be competitive

Jacques Villeneuve believes that Peugeot will be competitive in the first year of their return to Le Mans.

The Canadian will make his first start in the 24-hour classic later this year, as he will attempt to add a victory in the race to his titles in Formula One and Champ Car, and his victory in the Indianapolis 500.

"Le Mans is a mythical race like Indianapolis," he told reporters in Paris. "It will be a great experience and I think we should be extremely competitive."

Villeneuve added that now is the perfect time for him to race at Le Mans, as he doesn't have any other commitments. However, he said that he is still chasing a NASCAR drive.

"Right now the only occupation I have is being a father so I will have plenty of time to prepare for Le Mans," he said.

"I've been looking for something to do, and I'm still pursuing NASCAR."

Villeneuve's debut in the race will mark the first time a Formula One world champion has entered the race since 2000, when Mario Andretti made his final start in the race.

The American entered the race on several occasions as he attempted to add a Le Mans victory to his F1 and Indycar successes, but his best result was a second place in 1995.

Other drivers to enter the race as former world champions include Nelson Piquet in the mid-nineties, Alan Jones in the mid-eighties, and Keke Rosberg, who was part of Peugeot's previous Le Mans effort in 1991.

Damon Hill and Michael Schumacher have both competed in the race before, in 1989 and 1991 respectively, however neither had started racing in F1 at the time of their exploits.

Peugeot confirm Le Mans line-up

Peugeot have announced their driver line-ups for this year's Le Mans Series and Le Mans 24 Hours.

Jacques Villeneuve will join Marc Gene and Nicolas Minassian in June, while Sebastien Bourdais will race with Pedro Lamy and Stephane Sarrazin, who have been teammates in the past at Aston Martin.

Team manager Serge Saulnier said: "It didn't take long to realise that it would be difficult to split Pedro Lamy and Stephane Sarrazin.

"Sebastien's feedback concerning the 908 is quite similar and his build is not unlike Stephane's."

Saulnier also believes that it makes sense for Gene and Minassian to be paired up for the LMS.

He added: "Marc and Nicolas have a great deal in common too, beginning with their driving style.

"They both know Jacques from Formula One and Nicolas even tested Jacques title-winning car in 1997."

Peugeot Sport Director Michel Barge is confident that the team have two line-ups capable of winning this year.

"In terms of both performance and analysis of the car, all these drivers are of an extremely high calibre," he said.

"Choosing who drove with whom was based on simple criteria and the two cars are consequently on an equal footing with respect to the results we can expect."

Peugeot have conducted three tests in recent weeks to allow their drivers to become familiar with the team and the car.

Hi folks

Now got all the details for the car decals and window stickers.

Window Stickers

These are club stickers which can be placed in the back window or the quarter panel window. They are stuck on the inside of the window to save anyone stealing them.

Cost = £2.50

I need to order a minimum of 20 of these so I hope that everyone will take at least one even if they are only used for the 2 weeks.

This is what they look like:

Car Decal

I am also arranging decal that can be placed on the two doors and bonnet of the cars.

These will be manufactured using acryllic sticker. I have been advised that these can easily be removed after the trip without damaging the paintwork. This is done at your own risk however.

These will come in a set which consists of 3 stickers at a cost of £15.

They will be approximately 20 inches in length and will fit nicely on the top half of the doors.

I can have these supplied in the following colours:

24 hour logo as below and lettering either in black or white, these are lettering only so the background will be the colour of your car.

Image

I need to order these by the end of March and this is a one-off run as the manufacturer cannot do them in dribs and drabs.

If you wish to order please email me at [email protected] or pm me here. Please remember to tell me the colour of letters required on the decal.

The payment should be sent to myself via cheque and I will confirm the address at the time of ordering.

*** Please note these will be distributed on the trip to avoid any loss or damage in post ***

So for a set of decal and window stickers £17.50 can't be bad.

Shane this is brilliant - I've just posted my cheque to you and should be up there in sunny Scotland on Tuesday.

I've ordered a set of the door/bonnet stickers and 4 x Club window stickers. I think they are going to look superb.

Is anyone out there in a position to organise Le Mans 2007 t-shirts and caps???

We did this 3 years ago ( got about 20 made up ) with really nice quality polo shirts.

Can anyone look into this and take this task on??

Cheers
Michael
