Has this car ever had any accident damage?
I remember a Cosmos blue Rev5 Turbo beeing offered for sale about 1 1/2 years ago.
I also remember that car was in damaged condition when arriving into the UK some time before that , this the same car?
When was your car imported?

just like to say ...i gave this car a test drive a year ago...and it was a superb drive.handled very well...I feel the rev5 turbo,s (standard mods)even though have the same engines has the rev3 and 4.. just seems that bit more faster.
shame that daz was asking top dollar for it last year...as it would of been mine by now...

Hi apparently there was some accident damage when it was imported but i have owned it 5 years and have had the front stripped twice to be resprayed for chips most recently a few months ago and there is no damage/problems/anything so i wont be answering any more questions on damage when it entered the country as this was brought up by someone a few years ago who knew nothing really! just jealous. As i say ANY INSPECTION WELCOME we'll leave it there.

Oh and.... hi Carl glad to see you still have your 2, ive moved since but im still close enough for you to come and see it again, as i say the problems it had last time ie stone chips to front and wings are ALL gone, bodywork is mint. Cam belt done last year, shocks all round (xmas prezzie), 4 new toyos loads of receipts.

Find me a better one

haha how is that better! it wouldnt be original like mine, mine has the gtr2 sideskirts, lowered properly, wheels, 2k sat nav stereo etc, infact i cant be bothered to list it all, if you cant see it for yourself thats your problem

only thing would be t bar of course! and i also guarantee the bodywork paint work is much better on mine

so whats your argument for this one beong a better choice haha?

For some reason the market seems to be flooded with Turbo's at the moment, lots of Rev3's for sale, selling for 3-4,5K.
Just this week a '98 Rev5 Turbo in black with 58K mls was on Ebay. It was probably sold for just 4500 UKp as the seller wrote in the ad that he would accept that for a sale.
I just couldn't act fast enough otherwise I would have taken it. ](*,)

Its also questionable about the car on ebay actually being a genuine rev 5 turbo.

The seats in that Ebay car looked to have the Rev5 upholstery, it had the rear spoiler etc. and the guy sent me message that it was on the title as first registered/used abroad 1998, so it was Rev5.

What does V-car mean? Am I correct that it means that the car has had some recorded light accident damage at some point? In my opinion not much to worry about if repaired correctly.

In my experience a lot of MR2 and espec. Turbo's that I have seen, have been accident damaged/repaired, just a lot of sellers not telling when putting up for sale if the damage hasn't been registered.

The V-car register means it's either been stolen and written off by the insurance company or it's been damaged and repaired. Not necessarily light damage. I still have my doubts about that ebay car.

***Please note that we are talking about the ebay car and not the car for sale in this thread***

Anyway, back on topic.

Ebay car..... where was the passenger airbag that appears on rev 4 + cars?

And, why change the corners when they are clear as standard?

Bit dodgy me thinks.

p.s. love that colour Daz.
