Yes, after 2 years of ownership i think I'm finally going to have to sell the 2.
I've fancied something newer for a while now, and, after weighing up running costs/fuel usage and after looking at evo7s and scoobies and the like I think i've now decided on....

a Civic Type R,
this is still open to opinions though, so if anyone has had good bad experiences with these cars then lets be hearing it

My car is currently 305bhp and I've probably spent around 5k on the engine and styling atleast, I know the civic won't be nearly as fast in a straight line but I'm really after something newer and fun on the backroads without costing the earth to run...

The new Corolla T-Sport is meant to loads of fun and there are constant arguments on the corolla forums about which is better CTR (Civic) or CTS (Corolla).

The Corolla has this amazing thing refered to as "Lift" when the VVTLi kicks in

only 1 car in it mate. Civic type R...my choice anyday anytime for a newish cheapish sports car. They are dead reliable (albeit a few exceptions) and as you know the Vtec system has legendary reliability. It has the looks. Plenty of mods available if needed.
Just my opinion though.

but going for a new one or a used one? i had civic type r for a few days around the time i bought the s2000 as a courtesy car. nice car, handles well, good vtec kick, loads of tuning potential. ulitmately it was a good fwd hot hatch. fun, but give me rear wheel drive any day.

my girlfriends brother has an aniversay model(he is also a honda mechanic). he drives them every day and has commented there seem to be good ones and better ones with respect to engine power. some of them seem to have more puff than others.

Cheers for the advice people, I've been out in S2000s before and they are great machines! Its just if I was gonna get one then I'd rather keep the 2 as its faster and about as practical,
Think I'll go with the CTR as I reckon its gonna be a lot more fun on B roads than a real wheel drive just for pure chuckability and i won't have the constant paranoia of something very expensive breaking like I would in an evo or a scoob..

Only problem is that I've just took the pictures so I can put mine on ebay and damn it looks so nice

Go for an Integra as suggested, better car all round compared to the CTR.Probably one of the best handling FWD cars on the roads today.

theres a few hundred jdm spec (about 15-20bhp more) civic type r's nocking about in the uk masquerading as uk spec versions. Honda had a production problem a couple of years back ending in a vast shortage of uk spec type r's so just to keep customers happy for the time being they pulled a few hundred jdm spec versions of the production line (as they are made here and shipped to japan). So thers a few unsuspecting civic type r owners out there with the same 220bhp engine as in the integra dc5 (assume there the same anyway)
