MK1 SC Conversion - reluctant but very urgent sale needed!!!!

Post by stuartsides »

All

I've got a 1988 (F reg) mk1 MR2 (not imported) in red that I've spent a little(!) bit of money on that needs to be sold as soon as possible due to divorce and impending move to Holland!

KYB shocks (slightly stiffer and lower than stock, non-adjustable from Fensport). Work carried out by Northampton Motorsport and all bushes replaced at the same time.

15" alloys - still have the original 'teardrop' 14"s to go with it

AE101 Supercharged engine sourced from Fensport and installed by Northampton Motorsport just 3 months ago at a cost of £4k! They've done an incredible job and even installed an oil cooler and re-baffled the sump should it get used for trackdays! Rolling road says 180BHP (well 178 actually but doesn't 180 look better??!!!) because the large pulley kit was also installed. The car has only done about 500 miles since the engine was installed and it runs beautifully. It also had a new clutch at this time. The Tacho says 112k miles, if that makes a difference!

Braided hoses are on the brakes too. Standard discs but Green Stuff pads (although to be honest I think they need changing soon).

The engine bay lid hasn't been converted yet to give appropriate cooling vents for the SC but a temporary fix is in place which works incredibly well!

The body work was next on the list of things to be done so is a bit shabby. Rear aches were cut back and rebuilt last year 'to a standard' but they're not concourse. The underneath of the car had good attention last year too and is very sound and has been treated. The front of the offside front wing needs some attention too. Like I said, it was next on the list and paintwork needs t-cutting.

TAX and MOT ran out in January. I'm confident it will pass so am happy to get it MOT'd and taxed if someone wants it for the road immediately.

Basically, I have no idea what it's worth. I know what I've spent on it but it's only worth what someone is willing to pay I guess. I am open to offers and to be honest because of the urgency of the sale needed I'd probably consider silly ones too! Of course, I'm not stupid either!! haha

I'm off to Holland in the morning until Wednesday afternoon but can be reached on my mobile (07886 814238).

Incidentally, I've got an L reg imported Isuzu Bighorn 3.1 TD auto LWB (RHD, 7 seats, leather, aircon, 150k KMS) that I need to sell too!

Thanks!!

Stuart, edit your post and remove the 'URL' tags, you don't need them to post a link.
