Hi guys

Just thought i would try to find out how many Mr2 Mk1 owners we have in the Aberdeenshire Area.

I am sure there are a few and it would be good if we could maybe arrange a few meets this year.

Not a resident of Aberdeen but work up here full time go home to Edinburgh at the weekends, usually bring my 2 up during the summer months, it's in hibernation mode at the moment.

often travel up to Aberdeen aswell but for social rather than work reasons....2's off the road at the moment but will be plodding up in the summer some time. Would be cool to have an Aberdeen meet in the summer

I'm in ABZ every 3 weeks, going offshore But I'm only 1.5 hrs down the road, give me a shout if you get anything organised

We should set a date, when Shane gets his car back of course (to show our roosty mk1's up, well me at least), as this would focus things a bit.

What about late april or early may.

That way most of us should have the 2s back on the road.

Late April OK, first week in may OK to, the rest of may nae chance for me i am of to the canaries for some sun sand and golf

Bill i am fine with either 28/29 April but maybe 5-6 of May would be better for some who maybe only put car on the road for summer

By the way nice 2 and the colour is my choice.

Can we all agree on one of these dates.


If any of you guys are interested i am arranging a long weekend on 15th & 16th of September. We are going up to Aviemore, Inverness, Ullapool

Staying In Ullapool on Saturday night then up round top of Scotland and back to Inverness and staying in Inverness on the Sunday.

Ross is already with me on this but should anyone else wich to attend just have a look under events and Scenes of Scotland you will get full details.

How about we go for the 5th of May and we meet at around 10.30 -11am
and we can go for a run and a bite to eat.

Can anyone suggest a good spot to meet at.

The 5th of may is good, a week before i fly out to sun, sea and golf.
Ill through Aberdeen in the pot for a meet location, I'm not worried about the location

Can you suggest a good meeting spot being that you are an Aberdonian. lets get that agreed so we are all sorted

First if there are some mr2 owners coming up from the kingdom we better find out if Aberdeen is OK with them. Down at the beach there are plenty of refreshment areas and car parking.

Some of the mr2oc folk from the Central Belt aren't too keen on going far, but if a good driving road is tied to a stick and dangled in front of their faces then they will come

I've spoken to one of the Regional Reps and he's all up for the idea.

Just tell me when and where and I'll get the mr2oc side of things sorted!

Where would you recommend for an initial meeting place?

And can someone give me loose details of a route if we're going for a drive before lunch?

How about this then, meet at the beach better at the big car park at Asda as I have said before there are plenty refreshment areas there. Then we could head out towards Banchory on the lower deride road then head for the cairn amount then head for fettercairn and back up to Stonehaven for a wee refreshment down at the harbour how does that sound. I used to do this run on my motorcycle a few years ago it was a great run on the bike
