I hate to say it but you possibly are.
With the paintwork issue and the unknown overheating problem I think realistically you've got to be looking at asking less.
Add to that the slow MR2 market at the moment, genuine rev2 Turbo's seem to change hands for £2,000 upwards and that's with no obvious faults.
i have had two different garages look at the car now, and both have checked the head gasket, and found it to be fine, they have both said its prob water pump.
i spoke to peter at sbits today, (very helpfull bloke) he said he would think its the headgasket, so the engine is coming out this weekend, i can then do the head gasket and check the water pump.

nightmare still hav it tho n love it ...
just fkd me up for a good while tho couldnt afford the fix.....
was that a rogue engine implant u got in there?
