To be honest, the main beam part doesn't really add much of a difference as far as I can see which is probably the benefit of getting a full HID bi-xenon kit as opposed to the Hid dipped/halogen main combo we got.

All in all, I'm very impressed with the HID part, the beam doesn't stretch as far as you see in the advertising pictures from my usage so far but then these have been set up with a uk legal beam pattern.

Not wanting to upset anyone here, but it IS illegal to fit HID bulbs to halogen headlight units. Doesn't matter if they're E marked, the bulbs might be legal, but the installation is not.

Fitting full HID replacement headlight assemblies is legal, as the reflectors are designed for the HID bulb, but just fitting bulbs to the old reflectors is not, as the beam pattern will be dispersed and cause glare to other road users.

I'd love a set, but after looking into it, I'd only consider it if it was a full replacement setup, probably a quad round setup designed for HID.

This was brought to attention in Tim's thread too.

As long as it passes the MOT, which I fully believe it will going by others (depending on beam height), then I have no problem fitting it to my car.

If I was unlucky enough to be pulled by a clued up copper, I'd deal with the consequences then.

By the way, does anyone know if its possible to use different bulbs in these? The main beam is pretty useless really and I was wondering if it was possible to use a Bi- Xenon bulb instead on the xenon dipped/halogen combo?
From looking at the kit when it was in the box and the previous light set up, I'm thinking that it should work?

I should think its fine - can't quite remember how it looked but as long as the bulbs you put in are rated the same i.e. 55/60W 12V etc, shouldn't be a problem - could even get PIAA ones?

Haven't had any joy so far with finding Bi-Xenon bulbs. Searched the PIAA website but all I could find were standard replacement ones and most of the stuff on e-bay looked dodgy as hell.

Anyway, here are a few pic's on the frunk.
