Why don't we just all chip in towards however many tickets we do buy - then we'll probably all only pay £1-£2 :D

Of the two I'd rather Kirsty polished my spanner....

and moving on.....

Chippingin sounds fair enough provided people are contributing, am happy to do whatever, though I notice I have been left of spannering duties? Any reason why people?

If a 'subject' is still needed, I'm planning to do a radiator swap very soon . . .

And if no-one wants me to polish their spanners, I'll just do my own . . . \:D/

Car show

Hey all i just read all the posts on this and i would love to come and help, im big and strong so heavy things is my forte :)

But the good news is i have a transit connect, :D :D :D its not huge but with the passenger seat folded down i can get 8-4 sheets in, so how big are your boards? this plus it has a tow bar also yeha and ive towed a 16 foot transporter with it so no probs there although i dont have access to a trailor no more, even with the boards in its amazing how much you can get in one of these vans

Just a thought what about reconditoning a gearbox? i have a spare one that 5th needs looking at although not sure what would be also needed for this (suggestions please) this could be a little side show on stand, wouldn't take up to much room anyway.

Im not to far away j8a m40, ive been to stoneleigh before but could someone post me details of show, im supposed to be working that weekend but hey im the boss so im gonna change it.

If van is not of use count me in as a helper, im not to bad with a spanner or with me gob  ,tools no probs trolly jack axle stands no probs.

Finally found five mins to catch up with this thread, as you may have seen we now have yet another MR2 Only project car, I was planning to come along on the 11th anyway to snap some photos for the mag, Tom suggested yesterday bringing along the mk1, which Id be more than happy to do, not sure if its the sort of thing you were looking for, but by then I should have a set of track springs that need fitting, or even the GT4 brakes, he he, im being cheeky, theres all manner of little jobs that need doing on it.

But seriously the offers there, we have just one obstacle, we have the car booked in for MOT on the 17th Feb, we've established the chassis is good, so that would give us a couple of weeks to get anything sorted it may fail on.

Oh and we need to buy a new battery it had to be bump started tonight at work!

We have loads of photos etc, and as part of where I work does signage and large format printing, getting a display done wouldnt be a problem.

pm or email me [email protected] if its of interest.

Yeh, sorry jo, went to my mates stag do over the weekend - not really on the ball atm if you know what i mean :-& .

But my friend at enterprise says we can have a van for definate. Let me know dates and size of van required and i should be able to sort it for £40 - £50 a day, maybe even less if her boss isn't around when we book it.

Still need a definate project tho. If i drive the van i can probably get someone else to take mine.

Excellent! :D This really is going to be great! :D

Jo is going to be away (and really to be truthfully honest I think she and G have done more than their fair share for the Mk1Club recently - but that's for another thread  ) so we need to at least try and replicate a stand as good as they did last year (won't be easy).

I will contact Vix (new Mk1Club treasurer) and ask for some funds to produce some nice posters for our display boards. Steve (MR2 only)I will be contacting you shortly to see if you can give us a quote to print these up....

I'd be keen to see some photos of last years stand, so I know what to expect, Ive got everything to had at my new place of work, and using powers of persuasion can get the display boards done at cost price, we do a lot of motor bike exhibition stands, and do works for the likes of Silkolene and Yamaha.

Our mk1 will have its track livery by then, as well as the parts sponsors logos, and the MR2 Only logo, Id also thought about putting the mk1 club logo pretty large on her as well, Id just need somebody to send me a high res image file, all a bit more PR when the car is knocking around, on track or at shows.

Offers there, always willing to help out. :)

Steve, basically what we need is similar to pages 32 to 37 in the latest MR2Only magazine, only printed bigger. Do you subscribe to this or do I need to send you a copy?

I'll contact Vix (actually I haven't seen her on this forum for quite a while :( or her other half Phil for that matter :( ) and ask for some cash to do this.

Off the top of my head I think it needs to be blown up three times. The MR2Only magazine is A4 so I am talking A2. I don't know the size of the display boards (and I won't contact Jo (Mk1Club Events administrator) 'cos she's done enough to be honest), I'll contact Stuart Mk1Club chairman and check.....

Will update requirements tomorrow after I've spoken to Stuart....

As you know I can do any artwork/origination needed from my studio at home, so no cost there, so only cost would be the prints themselves from work, which Id get done at cost, so just let me know, no problem :)

What do you mean, mine is concourse! :---)

Ok, thats a complete lie, mine is externally a shed of the highest order. But it won't be soon as I have plans to get it resprayed (by myself  ) plus Steve is going to sell me a black interior at a good price! :D
