Has anyone used one of these gadgets, are they any good??? It just plugs into the ciggy lighter socket.

They work in their own little world, so don't expect any relation to reality. But OK for comparison purposes. I used to use a similar device on track days for setting up my race car pre-season.

I have one. They're pretty good. You have to average the times etc out over something like 5 runs, and the conditions have to be good, but in all honesty, it's quite accurate.

The only thing it doesn't take into consideration is wheelspin. When the car wheelspins, you get overbloated BHP figures (I've seen well over 300 on mine). It teaches you how to get your launch technique down though. :)

For £40 it's a pretty decent tool. :thumleft:
