replacing pads so....

Post by Andy MR2 Bennett »

so.... while i'm in there i'm gonna paint my callipers to tidy it up.

I was looking at my car other day and thought i'd paint them black. But a silly idea popped into my head to paint them white or off-white,

what you guys think????

I'm confident it wont look chav, or barry, just cleaner!

Hey Andy,

IMHO neither! Painting the calipers is a good idea but I'd go for red, silver or gold on your car colour. Don't think the others would work very well!

Just my opinion though

Indeed it would, but I doubt you could get durable paint in that colour? Correct me if I'm wrong!

Personally I think white would look a bit :-k =; My personal preference aside and from a more practical point of view. White would be a real pain in the rear to keep looking clean! ](*,)

I happen to have all new calipers awaiting to fitted to my own car. I treated them to three coats of black Hammerite smooth. They have turned out to look absolutely fantastic  Obviously black was a good colour for my own car....seeing as it is indeed black  I did consider silver but against the colour of my rims I did'nt think it would suit. I do have a bit of a soft spot for red to be honest but i'm far to conservative for that....stealth is key :-$ Plus I think red is only really pulled off when you happen to have a name such as Brembo writen on them..........now theirs an idea, where's that stencil kit of mine :?:

Nail on head there mate,

I couldnt do red it's exactly what you said really brembo looky likes and if i do that I might as well put a shopping list on the door of performance parts that wont even go on my car. standard chav rules round here

So you dont think i should write TRD in tipex then. ok.

Do they do hammerite in a matt black rather than a glos. matt would look cool i think.

Im gonna paint a white undercoat to see what they look like out of interest more than anything else. :-k 8-[
