I think its a great idea.
The US Miata forum(MX-5) do it with a bit of a write up and lots of pics. I think it works very well.

Well I guess that could be for the comitee to decide, but on the US OC, they can nominate any car

although i have agreed it is a good idea i dont think it should be up to the forum in general to choose the winners (nothing but mk2's would ever win otherwise)

elected panel my bum... why not have a car of the month but in 3 classes.
it should be the whole club that"rates" a car of the month...
people can enter their car from the Garage or something and if you win you've had your claim to fame for 12months- then you can be voted for again.
Otherwise Bry's will win the Mk2 class each bl00dy month!
nothing wrong with seeing 3 cars on a page- be nice to see concourse examples of each mk (well ok.. mk2 and 3 
)
