I've being trying to free some time for this, but it's looking bleak.

I'd just like to say, if you volunteer you will enjoy the day, the work and the event. Take some working clothes, and soap to wash hands!

I had a great time last time, just sorry I can't 100% commit now.

I would love to get involved in this, but I can only be a helper too at the moment I'm afraid. My project at Uni has just recently gotten kind of... umm... involved and I'm suddenly short on time at the moment. So I'm sorry but I can't volunteer as an organiser...
Unfortunately I won't be able to commit 100% for sure until the end of this week.

If I can make it, depending on what sort of work you want to do I could possibly also volunteer my car if need be? There's not really much I want done on it (still plan on staying standard-ish) but I'm considering getting steel braided brake lines, so this could be a small job we could do? Just an idea.

Or we could start Chris' conversion! :)

I made a suggestion in the thread where engine swaps were being discussed that my car is due a front end rebuild (replace bumper bar and all the various associated fixings/bracketry) which we could do at the show. I've pretty much got all the bits now and am just waiting for some decent weather to have a bash at it.

If you feel it's a suitable project I can hold off on the work until then. I've also got bushes and braided hoses lying about somewhere that I never got around to fitting if we need any more jobs to keep people occupied.

I'm definately up for helping with this on the day, however its my best mates wedding the week before, so i may be of little help with the planning of things.

Car wise, I have my track car which has LOADS ready to be done to it - half roll cage fitting, bucket seat fitting, harness fitting, stainless hoses fitting, st165 calipers fitting... and more. All of these are in themselves nice little things that could be done in a day. However, not so much of a restoration, but i have loads of pics of what i have done to the car so far.

Other car is a nice-ish condition mk1a in gold that is currently a non-runner, but is completely original. I suspect that it needs a new fuel pump, but as yet have not had the chance to fully check. If someone could trailer this car then it could definately be a nice restoration example.

But whether you want either car or not, count me in for spannering duty, or i'm happy to beard with the best of them.

Well mechanically it's well sorted but externally it's a shed! It really needs restoring. Errm, I think of a plan and post it up.

I have been thinking, and due to reasons I dont want to go into here, i'm not to bothered about entering as a student entry this year in the MR2 challenge, which means my car is available if you want it. (will still be in the challenge though, just wont be defending the student title)

It isnt needed (at the moment), but if we think we can do it, I can more than likely provide the car and another engine.

Engine change in a day anyone? :D

May be able to drive out, but I think the organisers don't appreciate oil/coolant all over the place.

Will we need to swap over the manifolds?

What's up with your old engine? :?

I thought it was very strong indeed. It seemed to go very well when I drove it at Cadwell and Donington
