hi,

I picked the car up on staurday from the dealer in Bristol and drove it home to cornwall. It seems good. Its only done low miles so feels (and looks) like new! Certainly more powerful than my old 1.3 fiesta (sadly now sold).

Headlights seemed pretty dim so I've now swapped bulbs for silverstars.
Aerial doesn't retract anymore. D'oh.
Bit of steering wheel vibration at around 80mph. I think this is wheel balancing or allignment but am not sure.
Had to try it out with the glass out so the heater was on max on Sunday! Awesome. no leaks either in all this rain.

I want to put a CD or MD player in rather than the tape player (i threw my tapes out in about 1987) so the dash will be off on the weekend. I've checked the boxes behind the seats and it looks like a previous owner has installed 6*9 speakers but that's all that is in the boxes (apart from 3 CDs: David Gray white ladder, music from war of the worlds and a Sonique single...open to offers on all 3!) so i'm guessing the wiring should be straight forward.

to be continued....

Great looking car, like the wheels to, would look great with a 20mm drop in suspension :thumleft:
And I'll give you £1.50 for the David Gray album :D
