I realise there have been a number of posts regarding the for sale section.

I considered revising one of those threads, but really they all seemed to focus on splitting the for sale section down further.

My suggestion is a bit different, but I don't know if it's even possible with the forum software we use.

Given the difference between adverts in the MR2 for sale section, is it possible to create a special stationery post just for that section? It's just that quite often people miss out information which potential buyers could really do with and this results in having to send a PM just for a small detail which may ultimately put you off

(mileage for example).

I'd just like to know if there's some way to remind people what information to put.

A lot of people don't even put the location of the car

(even their profile has no location information) which is a bit of a pain given that means you don't know if the car is 4 miles or 400 miles from you.

Also if a standard format is used, it could make it possible to filter out items when doing a search.

(For example, if the stationary says

"Year:

", seller adds it to that line

"Year: 1992" then someone can do a search including the string

"Year: 1992" then it'll only show cars from that year)

So basically a default post along the lines of:

Additionally a stationery title with standard layout for the title of for sale posts would be really useful to make it easier to distinguish different cars from the posts.

Hope this hasn't been raised before

(had a quick look).

It's just that the for sale section is a bit of a mess for a buyer which doesn't help sellers at the moment

(IMO).

Cheers,
Max
