sorry, but , you're a to$$er. You slowed down to his pace, (therefore, he was travelling at a more sensible speed for conditions), you tailgated him, baited him for a race. He eventually (a roundabout and a bit of road later) had got bothered enough to try and lose you - in his inexperience/ frustration/whatever - he nailed it instead of making an easy pass for you. He lost control. You laughed 'cos hell it's really funny, ain't it. His car got damaged/his pride got damaged, and you thought "This is GREAT".
You didn't check to see if he was injured. You didn't care. You didn't stop to help. You're a to$$er.

Never know, maybe one day somebody will show you the same consideration after you wrap yourself around a tree or something.

You chose the right screen name.

Sorry mate not impressed [-X =;

I agree with splashnatz.
I understand that you were late for a meeting, fair do's! You were late, but then after encouraging the driver for a race and an accident happened in front of you, you suddenly had no time again?!? I am late for a meeting.

More likely you didn't want to stop and ask if he was ok in case someone other witnesses had called the police and you may have had a risk of been done for dangerous driving, driving without due care and attention and racing on the highway!
But worst of them all, you didn't even stop to see if the guy was ok!

You could of:
1. Stopped, called the office and explained that there has been an accident and you will be late.

2. Explained the whole story to your boss once you got back in work as to why you were late. i.e. sorry but i have just seen an accident right infront of me as who ever your mate is will agree with me!

Sorry dude.

knobby - yes the mr2 driver should have been driving in the correct lane to enable you to pass but maybe he was turning right at the approaching roadabout and thus was in the right hand lane for it? Tailgating him into having an accident is that not a chargeable offense?

I'm guessing you were driving faster cause you were late for you meeting? Next time buy yourself a decent watch and use that to plan car journeys. That way you can arrive in plenty of time.

He's a hand jockey for not stopping and how the post was worded but nothing more.

If someone sits on my tail wanting to race I lift off, move as close as possible to the curb and let them overtake in their own time. It's never failed for me or if I've taken the bait and tried to pull a gap I'd take responsibility for writing off the car if it happened.

If the guy can't control his big powerful car I've no sympathy.

FYI is was NOT Mark Edwards.

dont think mark would even be bothered by a 330ci tbh and from the photos he took of the accident id say there was no roundabout in sight, he said it happened cos of the dip in the rd....

400bhp mr2
against a 330ci

wouldnt bother waisting my petrol personaly

but a big =D> =D> =D> for stopping and making sure he was ok ](*,)

maybe if you hadnt have been sitting on hes bumper he might have been ok.... ](*,)

Maybe the guy in the MR2 should have pulled over and let the BMW past? Then perhaps he would have been okay.

Maybe the MR2 driver shouldn't have driven beyond the limit of his abilities? Perhaps then he would have been okay.

I must admit if i came up behind an MR2 that wouldn't move over then i'd just undertake him. I can't be ar$ed with sitting behind some guy just because he has an ego.

Personally I think the MR2 driver is an idiot for falling off the road all on his own.

Agree entirely John. I do exactly the same.. let them go ahead and have their own accident.

I wasn't refering to the BMW driver's driving. I just didn't like the way he worded his post (why post at all?). I certainly don't blame the BMW driver for the accident - that was purely the fault of the MR2 driver.

I actually really like 330Ci BMWs :) . I wouldn't mind a diesel coupe for the commute.

Rising to what could be seen as intimidating driving is, no doubt, an error.

I think it's apparent that the sadistic troll that is 'Knobby' had his chuckle at the MR2 driver's mishap (however it happened) and isn't likely to return. He's probably also quite pleased with himself for having provoked quite such a response in the IMOCers.

Probably best to let this thread die in the interests of not feeding the troll and not twisting the knife for whoever the poor sod is with a slightly bent MR2. I expect the lesson about driving was learnt pretty much instantaneously.

Congratulations, you set an example to us all with your undertaking skills... I also like the way you instantly assume it would be a "guy".

If I saw you drive off the road doing that I wouldn't stop either.
