Now I know you can get replacements from JDG panels, but they're a bit pricey. I vaguely remember Paul Woods mentioning that Datsun Cherry arches would fit, if you put them on the wrong sides? This was at Billing a couple of years ago, and my memory is somewhat impaired for some reason...Dave Burke wrote:Hi folks,

They don't go straight on... you'll have to feather them slightly and work them a bit, but the lip is pretty much spot on and they are very cheap.... I think we paid about 30 quid for both sides in total.- I thought I'd post here rather than PM'ing the guru, so that other mk1 owners can see it. 
"N12", 3 door version - Mine were £23 for the pair. Also an AE82 Toyota Corolla 3 door does the job. - the lip is just right but the line the arches takes tapers back towards the back of the car. Of course that may be down to the person who fitted them, but as said above they need a bit of fiddling to get right£60 a side - I've absolutely no idea if they're any good, but may be worth lookign into. Most motor factors should be able to get them. I wouldn't bother with second hand when you're already fighting the dreaded tinworm!.. they look the business, but I've no idea about the quality or fit.
